| Error Code | What It Means | Causes | Solutions |

| E0 | Limit Switch Fault | Bad Limit Switch | You can temporarily bypass the limit switch to test the unit. Please read the linked article for reference. Limit Switch Bypass Test Process |
| E1 | Ignition Failure, Unexpected Flame Out | Bad Gas Pressure |
Test Gas Pressure : For LPG(Propane) pressure should measure 11"WC Static and 10.5"WC Operating. For Natural Gas pressure should measure 8"WC Static and 7.5"WC Operating. |
| Too Little BTU Supply | Test BTU Supply at the heater, should read at least 120,000 BTU supply to heater. | ||
| Improper Ventilation | Be Sure that heater is vented to the outside using only our supplied ventilation pipes. It is of upmost importance that the heaters intake and exhaust be seperated and never mixed. | ||
| Fluctuating Water Pressure |
If you are on a well system with your own well pump you may having fluctuating water pressure. Install a water pressure regulator on incoming water line into home to fix water pressure fluctuation. |

| Clogged Inlet Water Sediment Screen | Unhook connections to inlet water valve and remove small screen in valve. This screen should be clear of all debris, if it is not, please clean the screen, flush your heater, and be sure to install a sediment filter on the inlet water line preventing future clogging. | ||
| E3 | Flue Clogged or High Winds | Small Animals or Debris has entered Flue or High Winds are pushing exhaust back into heater | Check Flue Exposed outside for any debris that could be clogging the flue pipe. If there are very high winds, wait for winds to stop then use heater. |
| E4 | Fan or Fan Circuit Fault | Fan Motor or Fan Motor Sensor has failed. | Due to the complicated nature of this repair we must ask that any heater with an E4 code be sent to us. For details call us at (219)369-4781 |
| E5 | Max Temperature Protection | Thermostat Shut Off | Turn Down Temperature setting on LCD panel of heater |
| E6 | Outlet Temperature Sensor Fault | Outlet Thermometer Failed | Replace small thermometer on outlet side of heater. Call (219)369-4781 for replacement parts. |
| E8 | Gas Type Fault | Wrong Type of Gas | If you are using LPG switch to NG. If you are using NG switch to LPG. |

| Fluctuating water temperature / No Showerhead On Display |
There are several things that can cause this. |
Fluctuating water pressure on well system. See our well system article or YouTube video There is a small screen on the intake tract of the heater. If this screen is obstructed, this can cause temperature fluctuations. See our YouTube video on this subject |
Clean the screen and install the proper filtration system to ensure clean debris-free water is entering the heater. Well users may need to install a pressure regulator and/or correct well system anomolies. Flushing a tankless water heater

| EZ 101 and EZ 202: Unit ignites for about 3 seconds then shuts down |
Bad Limit Switch |

| EZ 101 will not ignite - There is absolutely no spark |
Bad Batteries - Improper Battery Installation - On/Off Switch is in Off position - Bad Igniter |
